Ian Peacock

After obtaining an MA in Mathematics & Economics at Trinity College Cambridge, Ian held various full time roles in industry and finance. He has been a director of Kleinwort Benson Ltd. and, from 1998 to 2000, was a Special Adviser to the Bank of England. He has served as a trustee of WRVS and Chairman of Howden Joinery (formerly MFI Furniture Group) and as a non-executive director of Norwich & Peterborough Building Society. Ian was also Chairman of Mothercare plc from 2002 to 2011 and Deputy Chairman of Lombard Risk Management plc between 2004 and 2010.

In August 2008, Ian was appointed as a consultant to the Board and Chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee. He became a Director of the bank in March 2010.

Ian continues to hold a number of other non-executive appointments, including Chairman of Family Mosaic plc, a London based housing association, and Chairman of Westminster Abbey Finance Advisory Committee. He is a trustee of the PHG Foundation and a Quondam Fellow of Hughes Hall, Cambridge.
