C. Hoare & Co. is the only independent survivor of the private deposit banks which were established in the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, we combine our traditional values with a modern approach to banking and take pride in delivering an outstanding service tailored to our customers' needs.
Our aim is to pursue excellence over the long-term without regard to short-term gain. We do not force cross-sales or push products but instead focus on customer needs.

The bank has a long and interesting history. Founded in 1672 by Richard Hoare at the sign of the Golden Bottle in Cheapside.
